"The Five Elements: East Meets West" interprets the five elements of all things—metal, wood, water, fire, and earth—unveiling their mysteries and thus initiating the creative concept of "the integration of Chinese and Western cultures" and "cultural tourism experiences in the Central and Western districts." The event is divided into three parts: musical theatre, exhibitions, and urban exploration. The children's art and technology musical theatre uses singing to introduce the knowledge of the five elements' mutual generation and restraint, the five tones, and the five constant virtues through nature, music, virtues, and the body. In addition, a uniquely designed "Five Elements Cultural Tourism Map" takes visitors on an in-depth exploration of the historic streetscapes of Central and Sheung Wan, from ancient buildings to postmodern corners; cleverly integrating the wisdom of the five elements, it guides children and tourists alike to appreciate Hong Kong's history and culture with a new mindset of reflection and contemplation.
